Walking holidays in Spain Cadaques to Llafranc

Day 1: Transfert from Figueras or meeting at Cadaquès.
Cadaquès is the most eastern village in Spain, located in Alt Empordà in the Province of Gérone in Catalonia. This little fishermen village is nestled in a bay protected from the sea winds.
Isolated by mountains, Cadaques lives facing the sea and is virtually separated, by the land, of the rest of Empordà. Its picturesque streets with white walls and blue shutters on gives as one of the pearls of the Mediterranean. Arrival at the Hotel and dinner.

Day 2 : from Cadaquès to Rosas.
Itinerary along the littoral path from Cadaquès to Cala Montjoi, then you will bypass the Cap Norfeu, by a sea trail, you’ll arrive at Rosas.
This town is located on the Costa Brava, on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea, in the south of Cap de Creus. Rosas is bordered by two natural parks: that of Cap Creus in North and Aiguamolls in South-East. In 2011, Rosas Bay was admitted to the reduced club of the most beautiful bays in the world. Arrival at the Hotel and dinner. 20 km walk – 5h00 – Gradient : 967 m.

Day 3 : from Rosas to Sant Pere Pescador.
This hiking cross the Aiguamolls park with his bird natural reserve. You’ll walk through the Baix Empordà marsh. Arrival at the Hotel and dinner. 27 km walk – 7h00 – Gradient 129 m.

Day 4 : from Sant Pere Pescador to L’Escala.
Close to the ancient Greek and Roman Empúries city, there is the medieval center of Sant Martí d’Empúries, which will be a step in your daily hike. A place that preserves the original frame of the structure of its streets . Blazons and noble symbols are still on the stone facades of lots of houses. Here, Gothic is a constant, it mixes with architectural elements that the passage of successive cultures left on this village as indisputable evidence of its historical past.
You’ll discover during this itinerary a Hellenic dock at the Platja Moll Grec. Arrival at the Hotel and dinner. 11,5 km walk – 3h00 – Gradient 40 m.

Day 5 : from L’Escala to Torroella de Montgrí.
An itinerary overlooking creeks through Mediterranean pine forests and scrubland, until you reach a rocky massif dominated by its medieval castle Montgri lords, offering spectacular views of the region and the Mèdes islands. Steep descent to the village.
Arrival at the Hotel and dinner. 19 km walk – 5h00 – Gradient 587 m.

Day 6 : from Torroella de Montgri to Begur
In the first part a route to the village of Pals, through the Emporda countryside. Pals is a village with undeniable charm that will delight young and old. Places not to be missed are especially the wall (of the XIIth century offers one of the best views on the coast), the castle of the ninth century and the Plaza Major. An ideal opportunity to dream of a knight of the Middle Ages. Your itinerary continues through the wooded dunes of the Begur Mountain, to the village itself.
Arrival at the Hotel and dinner. 21 km walk – 4h30 – Gradient 378 m.

Day 7 : from Begur to Llafranc
Creeks like those of Begur, Sa Riera, Aiguafreda and Sa Tuna or those of Tamariu and Llafranc should be seen if we want to understand the essence of the coast of Girona. Steep cliffs, clear waters and exuberant vegetation surrounding Baix Empordà coastline, make this area the maximum expression of the Costa Brava landscape.
An obligatory place to visit, to enjoy the richness of the landscape, is the Sant Sebastià lighthouse, at Llafranc, privileged viewpoint which stands up to 167 meters above the sea level and on which stood the baroque sanctuary and hospitality as the same name. The panoramic view that we have on the Llafranc and Calella bays, is wonderful, as are also those of the sector of Salt d’en Romaboira and of north coastal areas, in the area of ​​the creek of Cau and the Frares mountains.
11,5 km walk – 3h00 – Gradient 51 m
Recovery at 17h00 and transfer at Cadaquès or at Figueras. Tour end at 19h00.

2 transfers during the trip : Day 1 Figueras train station to Cadaques and Day 7 from Llafranc to Figueras train station.

Gps :
We provide you freely a GPS with data path, waypoints locating hotels and point of interest. To take advantage of this offer, a deposit of 200 € will be requested and a lease contract will be signed between the two parties. The deposit will be returned at the end of the tour at the return of the equipment. Do not forget to make your request for provision of GPS when booking.

You also have the option to contact us using the registration form by clicking on the Contact tab, be sure to complete all fields. We will require a first payment of 20% on booking and the balance 1 month before your departure date.

Stay cancellation :
In case of cancellation by you, a cancellation fee will be retained by Inextremis Aventura.
You have a right of withdrawal of 7 days following the date of booking your trip in a time of 30 days before the day of activity.

A more than 29 days before departure: 10% package per person for administrative costs
Between 29 and 21 days: 25% of the total
Between 20 and 8 days: 50% of the total
Between 7 and 2 days: 75% of the total
Within 2 days: 100% of the total

Book your stay online, you will pay only 20% of the total amount. The balance 80% will be payable 1 month before the date of your stay (green business is the first day of the stay, stays are from Sunday to Thursday).
