CAMI DE RONDA WALKING HOLIDAYS – SPAIN – COSTA BRAVA
SANT FELIU DE GUIXOLS – BEGUR

Day 1 : Welcome at Begur in late afternoon, then transfer on Sant Feliu de Guixols.
Delivery of your Roadbook, maps and GPS, explanations about your stay. Installation et the Hotel, dinner and night.

Day 2 : From Sant Feliu de Guixols to Palamós
Itinerary along the coastal path by the Masset’ creek and the beach of Sant Paul. You will continue by a path always on seaside, with 900 steps of low height allowing to climb the mountain without a big effort. This site was designed by the architect Rafael Maso in 1916. You will cross the beach of “Sa Conca”, bypass the river “Ridaura” to reach “Platja d’Aro”, that you will cross by the seafront promenade towards Sant Antoni de Calonge. This part of the route is spectacular, the route is through the cliffs on a narrow path overlooking the Mediterranean Sea with crystal turquoise clear waters. The last part is on the beach between Sant Antoni and Palamós.
Arrival, installation at the Hotel, dinner and night. 18 km – Walk 5h30 – positive elevation 230 m

Day 3 : From Palamós to Llafranc
You will leave Palamós by taking the path of “Margarida’ Cala” and climb a path to the top of the “Gros” with a magnificent panorama on the coast. Then you will take the direction of the Sa Fosca’ beach, where we find the ruins of the Sant Estève’ castle. From this place begins the wildest part of the “Cami de Ronda” to the small fishing village “Alguer”, typical for its Mediterranean architecture. Then you will cross the Castell’ beach, which is one of the only sandy beach then the “Cala de Canyers”, “Cala dels Corbs”, “Cala Estreta”, “Cap de Planes” and the Crit. You will cross the “Cap Roig” (The red cape) and its sandstone cliffs to go down to the “playa del Golfe” to finally arrive at the Village of Calella de Palafrugell to reach by the seafront Llafranc.
Arrival, installation at the Hotel, dinner and night. 13,5 km – Walk 3h15 – positive elevation 360 m.

Day 4 : From Llafranc to Begur
From Llafranc, you will take a steep path to Sant Sebastián mountain where you will find the most powerful lighthouse on the peninsula, a chapel, a medieval watchtower and the remains of an Iberian village. From this promontory called the Romaboira jump, you can see the foot of the cliffs and again a magnificent view of the whole coast. You will descend to the “Cala Pedrosa” along the winding cliffs towards Tamariu. From this village, through the narrow paths that pass through the forest, you will walk to the “Aiguablava” and “Fornells” beaches. The final is in front of you for a last climb to the medieval village of Begur. 12,5 km – Walk 4h00 – positive elevation 665 m..

Program continuation on choice :

• Release of the group on site at 18:30 (end of stay).
• Installation at the hotel and dinner (additional night + 1 walk day from Begur to Pals)

Day 5 : From Begur to Pals (2 possible routes)
Loop by the coast : creeks of Aiguafreda, Sa Riera, Sa Punta de Pals, Pals’ village (15,5 km – Walk 5h00 – positive elevation 406 m.)
Crossing the Begur plateau to Pals (6,4 km – Walk 2h00 – positive elevation 205 m.)

Insured Departure : from 5 persons.

Level : Moderated level between 6 and 8 hours of walking each day with elevation gain from 600 to 900 m maximum.

Accomodation : in hotel** and *** according to availability (3 nights – double room)

Meals : Half board (breakfast and dinner) .

Personal equipment (to provide) : Mountain shoes, change of shoes, warm an drain clothes, cap and hat, toiletries, cereal bars …

Your organizer : Mountain guide (AEM), child of Catalonia – Languages: French, Catalan, Spanish, English.

Transport : Welcome at Begur the first day with transport to Sant Feliu de Guixols.

Luggage Transportation :
Luggage transportation during the tour, from hotel to hotel (1 luggage per person). You will carry only your things for the day.

Minimum number of participants: So that this trip is elaborated, the minimum number of participants is at least 5 persons.

Insurance (optional):
This contract is underwritten by the company Europ’Assistance. This insurance includes reimbursement of the order, after deduction of a 50 euros deductible, registration fee and the cost of insurance.
In the case of a cancellation, you must inform us in writing as soon as possible, so as not to let it run cancellation penalties. Events guaranteed in case of cancellation: accident, disease or death of the insured or his spouse, ascendants and descendants, extensive property damages caused by fire or natural elements reaching the insurant in his personal properties and requiring his presence , redundancy of the insured, inescapable modification of leave by the employer and unemployed finding work. Gps :
We provide you freely a GPS with data path, waypoints locating hotels and point of interest. To take advantage of this offer, a deposit of 200 € will be requested and a lease contract will be signed between the two parties. The deposit will be returned at the end of the tour at the return of the equipment. Do not forget to make your request for provision of GPS when booking.

Booking & payment :
You can make an online reservation using the “choice options” button in the tab “Dates and Prices”, gives you access to our secure payment Payplug service. The totality of the tour is payable.
You also have the option to contact us using the registration form by clicking on the Contact tab, be sure to complete all fields. We will require a first payment of 20% on booking and the balance 1 month before your departure date.

Stay cancellation :
In case of cancellation by you, a cancellation fee will be retained by Inextremis Aventura.
You have a right of withdrawal of 7 days following the date of booking your trip in a time of 30 days before the day of activity.

A more than 29 days before departure: 10% package per person for administrative costs
Between 29 and 21 days: 25% of the total
Between 20 and 8 days: 50% of the total
Between 7 and 2 days: 75% of the total
Within 2 days: 100% of the total

You have the possibility to pay the whole of your stay or to deposit a deposit of 20% on the total amount of your stay. Payment of the balance will be made one month before the start date of your stay.
